Desktop: Drag the button above to your bookmarks bar, then click it on any article page.

Mobile: Tap the button, bookmark the page that opens, then edit the bookmark URL to the JavaScript code (shown in Advanced section below).

How It Works

  • Extracts the HTML you're currently viewing (including authenticated content)
  • Works on paywalled articles you're subscribed to
  • Works on pages behind login (e.g., Medium members-only articles)
  • Opens Klartext in a new tab with a PDF preview
  • No data is stored — everything happens in your browser

Browser Support

  • Desktop Chrome/Firefox/Edge: Full support
  • Desktop Safari: Works (requires per-site permission)
  • Android Chrome/Firefox: Works (type bookmark name in address bar)
  • iOS Safari: Not supported (iOS 15+ restriction)
